- IE users may consider installing Netcraft's anti-phishing
toolbar.

If you're a Mozilla user, consider downloading two types of
extensions.
- Extensions such as
NoScript for Firefox,
NotScripts for Chrome, and
NotScripts for Opera limit which sites can run
javascript. By default, these extensions disable
javascripts to all sites, and then allow users to select
the sites they need.
- The second type of extension to look for is an
adblocker or site
filter extension. Being able to filter out known
bad sites is a great safety feature.
