Thunderbird Reccomended Extensions

Sync On Arrival - This plugin allows the user to automatically check other folders other than the INBOX of their IMAP account. This plugin is not needed with Thunderbird 2.0.

Display Quota - This plugin displays a nice bar on the lower-right hand side of the thunderbird window, with a graphical representation of your remaining quota for the selected folder.

MinimizeToTray (Windows only) - Allows windows Thunderbird users to minimize the mail client to their systray. Has several options to control what actions cause it to minimize.
