Campus Wireless LocationsRPI's wireless network provides a secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure. To use this service, you must have an 802.11b compatible wireless card installed (Rensselaer laptops come with this) and either VPN client software or 802.1X authentication software for Windows Vista or Windows XP. You must have also have a valid RCS userid and password, and Internet access at your remote location (if using the remote access VPN). Off-campus access to the secured wireless network requires authentication to a local VPN server before campus network and Internet access is available. Wireless AvailabilityAs of mid-October 2007, the following campus locations allow wireless connections.
