RSS Feed of the Events Calendar

The RSS feed from Rensselaer's events calendar provides regular updates to a list of the day's events. Point your news aggregator to the following URL:

Events listing for the next five days:
http://www.rpi.edu/dept/cct/apps/oth/data/rpiEvents.rss

Events listing for the current day ("today"):
http://www.rpi.edu/dept/cct/apps/oth/data/rpiTodaysEvents.rss

Please note: the URL was changed on March 23, 2007.

What's RSS and why should you care!?

RSS is an XML format for syndicating information, such as news and events. It allows you to subscribe to frequently updated websites like newspapers and blogs -- lots of them, all at once. RSS is alternately referred to as "rich site summary" or "really simple syndication".

To receive RSS feeds, you need a news aggregator . Though there are many good aggregators available, our experience with FeedReader (freeware) and FeedDemon (commercial) has been good. Numerous free readers also exist.
