Obtaining an RCS Account

Members of the Rensselaer community can pick up their RCS account at the VCC Help Desk during normal business hours (M-Th: 8:30 am - 5 pm, F: 8:30 am - 4 pm). Be sure to bring a photo ID.
If you have a working e-mail address, you can send a request for your RCS userid to consult@rpi.edu.
The request needs to include two of the following:
1. Full name
2. Rensselaer Identification Number (RIN)
3. The RCS e-mail address or userID from the campus directory - http://rpinfo.rpi.edu/directories.html.
You will be sent a "pickup pin" and the additional instructions for obtaining your RCS userID.
Over the summer, incoming freshmen are sent information about picking up their RCS account online. Otherwise, they can pickup their account at registration.
